Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 July 2026
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Mizaf (“Mizaf”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of the Mizaf website at mizaf.appand the Salat Connect mobile applications for iOS and Android (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Mizaf publishes prayer times and information about mosques, and allows signed-in users to follow mosques, receive notifications, submit mosque suggestions, and (where eligible) claim a listing or act in an administrative capacity for a verified mosque. The Service is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use.
3. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract with us under the laws of your jurisdiction. The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and you must not create an account if you are under 13.
4. Your account
Sign-in is by email magic link (Supabase Auth). You are responsible for the security of the email account associated with your sign-in and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at privacy@mizaf.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent information, including bogus mosque listings, fake verification evidence, or impersonated claims.
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against any person or community.
- Attempt to circumvent rate-limits, access controls, authentication, or other security mechanisms.
- Scrape, mass-download, redistribute, or build a competing product from Mizaf data without our prior written consent.
- Upload malware, attempt to compromise the Service, or interfere with other users’ use of it.
- Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable law.
6. User-submitted content
You retain ownership of any content you submit (mosque suggestions, verification evidence, profile information). By submitting it, you grant Mizaf a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and use that content for the purpose of operating, verifying, and improving the Service.
You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights.
We may remove, refuse to publish, or revert any content at our discretion, particularly where it conflicts with verification requirements, our acceptable-use policy, or applicable law.
7. Mosque verification & accuracy disclaimer
Mizaf operates verification, moderation, and ownership-claim workflows in an effort to surface accurate prayer-time and mosque information. Despite these efforts, listings may contain errors, stale data, or omissions. Prayer times are made available for your convenience and are not a substitute for confirmation from the relevant mosque. You acknowledge that you use any information from the Service at your own discretion.
8. Mosque-administration roles
If you are granted an administrative role for a verified mosque listing (for example, an owner or editor role), you agree to act in good faith, to keep the listing accurate, and to comply with any additional guidelines we provide. Administrative actions are recorded in our audit log for accountability.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, or as required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. To request account deletion, see the Delete account page.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salat Connect disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information on the Service is complete or up to date.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mizaf, its contributors, and its service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mizaf from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will give reasonable notice (for example, via in-app notice or to the email associated with your account) before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident in another jurisdiction may bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence where required by law.
